When did rudeness, disrespect and thoughtlessness become forms of socially acceptable behavior? At what point was it permissible to let a door slam in someone's face? When did the words "please" and "thank you" depart from our vocabulary?

Is it now considered stylish to push and shove others, as we make our way, without saying "excuse me" or "I'm sorry?" How did we become so selfish and self-absorbed,

or do we just don't care?!

Children do not have life experience and are not born with an etiquette book of rules. Unless taught otherwise, they may grow up to become unhappy adults with few friends, destroyed marriages, and unsuccessful in the workplace!

Responsible, mannerly children ae appreciated by others who enjoy being in their presence! Likewise, responsible, mannerly adults are well-respected and appreciated! Saying "I'm sorry," or "please" and "thank you" takes very little effort and can go a long way in creating peace and happiness for oneself and for others!
